QuickBooks Hints & Tips

When printing reports in QuickBooks 2009/10, details in the name and other columns may not be printed, even though they are shown on the screen prior to printing. To have these details print:

Either
Click the Modify Report button
In the Columns box under the Display tab, tick Source Name
Click OK
Notes: Open Invoices report will only work if you display the Email column
Unpaid Bills report will only work if you display the Email column or by clicking Modify Report > Display > Advanced > Change the Tax Basis from Net to Gross
Or
Go to Edit > Preferences > Reports and Graphs
Click the Company Preferences tab
Change default reporting from Net to Gross

Print the report and the name details will now print out.

The QuickBooks 2009/10 tax update will address this so that reports print as shown on the screen without these additional steps being required.
