Subscription is essentially a 12 month rental of the software. You still purchase a “box” of software but at a reduced price.

Which one should I have?


Advantage if you wish to enjoy classroom discounts, want to rely on Quicken for technical support and like to know you can stop paying the membership and still use the program. Subscription if you wish to keep your software compliant for the smallest possible cost and you don’t rely on Quicken for technical support – instead you choose to source it from T3 Ventures.

What if I don’t wish to upgrade every year?


Purchase your QuickBooks as a Full version and then upgrade again when you choose to. However we would recommend upgrading at least every 2 years.

QuickBooks Tip


To create a Pays Report that shows the Net Pay modify an Employee Earnings Report as follows: - Reports/Employees & Payroll/Employee Earnings Summary - Modify Report/Filters Tab - Choose the Filter “Payroll Item” and choose “All Employee” from the drop down list. This will exclude ALL Employer items such as superannuation and should provide a true Pays Report where the “Total” column shows net pays. Note: Run the report and compare to employee pay slips in the case where work around options such as salary sacrifice have been set up to ensure Net Pay is correct.
