QBi Technical Update

QBi has been a mixed experience for our clients ? and us! Some upgrades have gone swimmingly, some not so swimmingly! Anyone who has upgraded to QBi, is an Advantage member and is experiencing problems, please call the Advantage hotline on 1300 137 657. If you have already been there and still have issues ? call us! Any customers who are NOT Advantage members and who are experiencing issues with QBi ? call us! Prior to calling you will need to check which release you have. Check out the FAQ How do I find which QuickBooks version I have?

The most common issues we have experienced and the solutions:
- R3 customers: YTD figures in payslips are negative, super does not seem to be calculating properly ? you need to load Tax Scales and Service Pack 1
- R6 customers: Leave is not accruing correctly post upgrade ? Service Pack 2 is due for release late October/early November.
- R7 customers using Multi-currency: Overseas transactions appear in bank reconciliation screen in foreign currency but are displayed in $AU in bank register? ? Service Pack 2 is due for release at the end of October/early November.
- R7 customers: Uncategorised Income and Expense balances have appeared in trial balance ? Service Pack 2 should fix this. In the mean time it may be possible to fix by deleting the uncategorised line from the transaction/s, however care must be taken. E-mail info@t3ventures.com.au for more information and DO NOT REBUILD the file (this seems to make it worse)
- All releases: Bank on-line functionality not working properly post upgrade. This usually occurs when the supplier ?ABA? is marked as inactive in the supplier list at the time of upgrade. File needs to be sent to Quicken to be fixed. Advantage customers call Quicken, Subscription customers call 1300 Quicken (784 253)

If you have not yet upgraded your software, be aware there is a strict process to follow, you will need to allow a minimum of ? a day to complete the upgrade process (based on a single user, 1 QuickBooks file business) and there is a lot that needs to be checked before and after. We strongly urge all clients who are intending to upgrade to consider requesting some assistance from your friendly Quicken Accredited Consultant as each file we have upgraded or heard of others upgrading has behaved differently.
